TDP hits out at Sukhender Reddy

TDP leaders on Sunday launched a tirade against their former colleague G. Sukhender Reddy, who joined the Congress, and dubbed him a “political trader” who used the TDP to further his interests.

At a press conference here, senior party leaders, including M. Narsimhulu, Uma Madhav Reddy and B. Janardhan, refuted Mr. Reddy’s charge that injustice was done to him and accused him of blackmailing the TDP and harming its interests. Charging him with trying to split the TDP along with T. Devender Goud, they said the Nalgonda district activists felt that justice would be done to them in the wake of Mr. Reddy’s action.

At another press meet, T. Srinivas Yadav, MLA, referred to questions posed by the CLP to Junior NTR on the TDP regime’s irregularities and wondered why the government failed to come out with anything concrete in spite of instituting 19 inquiry commissions against it.

He said the public response to Junior NTR’s campaign in Srikakulam had caused jitters among Congress leaders and challenged them to visit the places toured by the actor.
